April 5, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to allow approximately 100 guests of the Center for Contemporary Islamic Studies in Japan (CCISJ), Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to their co-hosted movie, presentation, and dinner at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, Japan.

Following the showing of the JCIE selected movie “Osama” which won many awrds back during its initial release, remarks were given by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat about the marked and progressive changes and advances for the better in Afghanistan since the time depicted in the movie. Following his remarks, a presentation on “Afghanistan Today” was given by Mr. Osamu for the guests.

Following the presentations, the guests were invited to partake in the delicious Afghani food prepared for them carefully by the embassy while listening to the sounds of the Afghan-Japan fusion band “Chalpasah”.
