Attendance at the 2019 ALFS Charity Bazaar International.
April 10, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the 2019 Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) Charity Bazaar international at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel in Tokyo.
One of the major features of the annual charity bazaar was the International Bake Sale offering different baked goods and sweets from countries around the world; including a donation from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo of Afghan cookies (Kolch-e Qalebee)sprinkled with sugar and cardamom.
While at the event, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting with Madam Kono, wife of H.E. Foreign Minister Mr. Taro Kono to whom he expressed deep appreciation and thanks on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the steadfast and benevolent assistance over the years by the people and Government of the noble and friendly nation of Japan. Additionally, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting with Madam Soo Fen, wife of H.E. Ambassador Mr. Lui Tuck Yew of Singapore; Madam Tasrif, wife of H.E. Ambassador Mr. Arifin Tasrif of Indonesia; as well as other of the Madam Ambassadresses participating in the International Bake Sale, diplomats with missions in japan, and distinguished guests all present for the annual event.
