Both parties agreed that while the Afghanistan has enormously lucrative investment potential, security concerns hinder business and trade between Afghanistan and Japan. They recognized that while regional growth, investment, and trade in the region has nothing but surged in recent years, Afghanistan’s full potential cannot be realized without proving to Japanese companies that their interests are guarded against disruptions, whether political, economic, or social in nature.
