Meeting with H.E. the Ambassador of the Philippines.

April 16, 2019: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to meet with H.E. Mr. Jose C. Laurel V, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, at the Embassy of Philippines in Tokyo. Also in attendance was Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Laurel for taking the time to meet with him. Furthermore, he thanked H.E. Mr. Laurel, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, for the kind support of Afghanistan by the warm, friendly people and Government of the Philippines over the years at it has strived for progress, prosperity, and peace. As the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Philippines, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat has great interest and a special place in his heart for the wonderfully kind people of the Philippines. At this time, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat too the opportunity to give H.E. Mr. Laurel a full briefing of the many recent striving achievements in the Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process undertaken by the National Unity Government, which was well received by H.E. Mr. Laurel. In return, H.E. Mr. Laurel thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and expressed his sincerest promises for the relations between their two respective countries to deepen and become more profound. Additionally, he remarked that the Republic of the Philippines would fully support and stand by the people and Government of Afghanistan as it progresses on its Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process, as well as well into the future and beyond.
