Attendance at the Reception Honoring the Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the Second at the Royal Danish Embassy.
April 16, 2019: It was an honor and pleasure for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the reception honoring the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the Second at the Ambassador’s Residence at the Royal Danish Embassy.
Honorary remarks at the ceremony were given by H.E. Mr. Taro Kono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan. On behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat extended his congratulations to H.E. Ambassador Mr. Freddy Svane, in honor of the occasion of the auspicious birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margethe the Second. In return, H.E. Mr. Freddy Svane thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance and kind words, and expressed his wishes for the relations of their countries to strengthen and grow.
While at the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the pleasure of meeting with H.E. Ambassador Mr. Kiminori Iwama, Chief of Protocol for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to whom H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the steadfast and benevolent support from the noble people and Government of Japan over the years as Afghanistan has striven for progress, prosperity, and peace in an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led process. H.E. Ambassador Mr. Iwama assured H.E. Dr. Mohabbat that Japan would continue to stand with Afghanistan as she continued forward in the Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace talk as well as well into the future . Additionally, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, diplomats with missions in Japan, and other distinguished guests all present in order to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty.
