November 28, 2017: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to receive Mr. Shinichi Tamura, Chairman of the Board and Representative Executive Officer for the Sosei Group Corporation, at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan. Also in attendance was Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary.

Mr. Tamura congratulated H.E. Dr. Mohabbat on his recent appointment as the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Japan and wished him a successful tenor, noting he was certain to have one due to his longtime experience in Japan. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat sincerely thanked Mr. Tamura for his kind words and for coming to visit the Embassy. 

Further, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked him, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, for Japan’s profound and continuous support of Afghanistan over the years. He also updated Mr. Tamura on the many progressive achievements in Afghanistan over the past 15 years especially those undertaken since the formation of the National Unity Government. Furthermore, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also expressed optimism for the relationship between Japan and Afghanistan becoming stronger through many avenues and for Japan’s private sector’s support in helping to provide more advancement of Japan's investment in the pharmaceuticals industry opportunities of Afghanistan.He encouraged Mr. Tamura to invest his company, Sosei Group, in particular by setting up a factory in Afghanistan. Mr. Tamura promised that he would seriously considerate it and will be visiting Afghanistan soon to look into the potential installation of pharmaceuticals factory there. Those present further discussed topics of mutual interest.
