November 21, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of receiving a courtesy call by Mr. Keiichi Hara, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan in Kabul, and Mr. Yasuo Kitano, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Kabul, to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo. Also in attendance were Mr. Ahmad Bashir Ghafoori, First Secretary and Consul, Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary, Mr. Asif Agah, Second Secretary, and Mr. Abdur Zaman Akbari, Third Secretary

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat extended his warm welcome and articulated his appreciation for Mr. Hara’s kind visit. Mr. Hara expressed his sincere thanks for his warm welcome. As a recently appointed Minister to Afghanistan, Mr. Hara is striving to continue the strong relationship between Japan and Afghanistan with the advice and cooperation of H.E. Dr. Mohabbat and the diplomats of the Afghan Embassy in Japan. Mr. Hara, together with H.E. Dr. Mohabbat share the optimism for the relationship between Japan and Afghanistan becoming stronger. They further discussed topics of mutual interest.
