Attendance at the 10th Anniversary of JDA-MOD Transition Reception 2017 in Celebration of The Japan Self-Defense Forces Day.

November 1, 2017: It was an honor and pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the 10th Anniversary of JDA-MOD Transition Reception 2017 in Celebration of The Japan Self-Defense Forces Day in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

This reception event is held to celebrate the Anniversary of the Establishment of the Self-Defense Forces here in Japan which were established on July 1, 1954. The Deputy Defense Minister H.E. Mr. Tomohiro Yamamoto, gave remarks during the ceremony talking about the history of the Self Defense Forces, and expressed his hopes for these organizations in Japan.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Deputy Defense Minister H.E. Mr. Tomohiro Yamamoto to whom he expressed his thanks for hosting the event as well as wished congratulations on this auspicious day. Further he expressed his thanks on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for Japan’s profound and continuous support of Afghanistan in it’s development process. In return, H.E. Mr. Yamamoto thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words, vowed that Japan would continue to stand with Afghanistan well into the future as it continues to develop and achieve further peace. Additionally he congratulated H.E. Dr. Mohabbat on his recent appointment as Ambassador to Japan wishing him the greatest of successes during his mission.

Also in attendance were several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, Diplomats with missions in Japan and high ranking members of Japanese Government with whom H.E. Dr. Mohabbat met and discussed many topics of mutual interest such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
