Visit by the Representatives of the Afghan Students' Union
November 21, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of hosting a luncheon for the visit from the representatives of the Afghan Student's Union of Japan. Also in attendance were Mr. Ahmad Bashir Ghafoori, First Secretary and Consul, Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary, Mr. Asif Agah, Second Secretary, and Mr. Abdur Zaman Akbari, Third Secretary, and Mr. Mohammad Hamed Patmat, President of the Afghan Students' Union.
Two students, Mr. Ahmad Faisal Amiry and Ms. Samira Jafari, who finished their tenure from April 2016 to June 2017, as assistant representatives received certificates of appreciation for their roles as assistant representatives of the Union, and one other student, Mr. Taheb Safi was appointed as new assistant representative. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked Mr. Amiry and Ms. Jafari for their tenure as representatives and congratulated the newly appointed representatives. The students thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his warm welcome and his congratulations. After receiving the certificates, and appointment, the diplomats and students enjoyed Afghan cuisine and a lively chat together.
