10/06/2016 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends the Day of Russia Reception

June 10, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had the pleasure of attending the reception on the occasion of the Day of Russia. H.E. Dr. Fatimie expressed his congratulations to H.E. Mr. Evgeny Vladimirovich Afanasiev, Ambassador of Russia, for the occasion. In return, H.E. Ambassador Afanasiev thanked H.E. Dr. Fatimie for his attendance and kind words.


The reception was attended by many distinguished guests such as Japanese officials and Their Excellencies Ambassadors. Among them, H.E. Dr. Fatimie particularly had the great pleasure and honor to meet again with H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Hase, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. H.E. Ambassador expressed his appreciation, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the continuing Japan's assistance to Afghanistan. The assistance to education sector has been very productive and meaningful, and all Afghans are grateful and appreciate Japan for the impact-generating support that help build the foundation of the country throughout the years, H.E. Dr. Fatimie added. H.E. Minister Mr. Hase in return expressed that it is wonderful to know and to be appreciated the assistance from Japan has been useful for Afghanistan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie and Dr. Mohabbat, Minister-Counsellor, had the further pleasure and honor of meeting again with their long time friend, the Honorable Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of Komei Party, and Member of House of Councillors. Hon. Mr. Yamaguchi expressed that he was very looking forward to visiting the Hidden Treasures Exhibition held at Tokyo National Museum later that day. H.E. Dr. Fatimie mentioned the visit of Their Imperial Majesties Emperor and Empress 2 days ago, and how successful it was. He also wished Hon. Mr. Yamaguchi would fully enjoy the exhibition, as well as the friendly relationship between Afghanistan and Japan be deepened.
