01/06/2016 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends Ibaraki Prefecture Promotional Fair



June 1, 2016: It was a His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie's pleasure to attend the Ibaraki Prefecture Promotional Fair held at Iikura House, jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Ibaraki Prefecture Government. H.E. Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Fumio Kishida gave his opening remark to some 300 distinguished guests. Among them, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the great pleasure of meeting again with the Honorable Governor of Ibaraki Mr. Masaru Hashimoto, and shared the memory after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, when H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie, the embassy staff, and representatives of Afghan residents in the eastern Japan had visited Ibaraki Goveror's office, Tsukuba Mayor's office, and evacuees' shelters in Ibaraki Prefecture to deliver the relief materials.

H.E. Dr. Fatimie had a pleasure of meeting again with Mr. Seiji Okada, Deputy Director-General at International Cooperation Bureau, MOFA Japan, and former Minister-Counsellor of Japanese Embassy in Afghanistan, too; also had the opportunity to meet with Hon. Dr. Karen Makishima, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Cabinet Office, Member of the House of Representative; Hon. Mr. Akimasa Ishikawa, Member of the House of Representatives; Mr. Francis Bernardin Hygnanga, Charge d'Affaires a.i., Embassy of the Gabonese Republic; Mr. Ernesto Torres Pereyra, Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of the Dominican Republic; Mr. Mutsumi Taki, Vice Director, Ibaraki Prefecture Government; Dr. Koh-ichi, Kadowaki, Director General, and Dr. Hideki Sezutsu, Institute of Agrobiological Sciences (NARO); Dr. Makoto Hanashima, Principal Research Fellow of National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED); Mr. Shunsuke Tamura, Potter Manager of Kouzan Gama; and all the attending Ibaraki elected lawmakers, officials, members of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as private sectors, to have discussed the issues of mutual interests.
