His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a great honor and pleasure in attending the 240th Independence Day Reception of the United States held at the American ambassador’s residence. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the pleasure of being welcomed by H.E. Ms. Caroline Kennedy, Ambassador of the U.S.
H.E. Dr. Fatimie expressed his congratulations for the occasion, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, as well as thanked sincerely for the generous US support to Afghanistan. In return, H.E. Ambassador Kennedy appreciated H.E. Dr. Fatimie for his attendance, and the kind words, as well as the reassurance of US commitment to Afghanistan. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Jason P. Hyland, Deputy Chief of Mission, and Mr. Robert G. Rapson, Minister-Counselor for Political Affairs, among many other distinguished high ranking officials attended to celebrate the occasion, and discussed the issues of mutual interest including recently held NATO Warsaw Summit, and upcoming Brussels Conference on Afghanistan.
