Meeting Hon. Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of the Komei Party of Japan
June 2, 2016: Dr. Mohabbat met with his old friend, Honorable Mr. Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of the Komeito Party, junior partner of the currently ruling party the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan. They met at Hon. Yamaguchi’s office.
First, Hon. Yamaguchi congratulated Dr. Mohabbat on his recent appointment as the Minister-Counsellor and returning to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo. He wished for Dr. Mohabbat’s further success in his career and mission.
In return, Dr. Mohabbat thanked Hon. Yamaguchi for sacrificing his time in order to meet with him at his office, and for the Japanese government’s and the Japanese people’s continuing support for Afghanistan. Furthermore, Dr. Mohabbat kindly requested for Japan’s participation in the Brussels Conference on Afghanistan to be held on 4-5 October this year, which is an important opportunity for the international community to discuss issues concerning Afghan society and its development.
