Attendance at the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

September 22, 2017: His Excellency Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan, had the honor and pleasure of attending the Reception on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Hotel Okura in Tokyo, Japan.

With Uzbekistan being an important neighbor to Afghanistan, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Farrukh Islomdjonovich Tursunov, Ambassador for the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan, for the invitation to a wonderful event, expressed his heartfelt congratulations on their National Day and conveyed his hopes for continued good relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. In return, H.E. Ambassador Mr. Tursunov thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and congratulations and expressed his wishes for the continuous amicable relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Also, in attendance were several of Their Excellencies, Heads of Missions, and Diplomats with missions in Japan, members of parliament, and other dignified guests, several of whom H.E. Dr. Mohabbat met with and discussed many topics of mutual interest such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
