Courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador of the Philippines

September 7, 2017: His Excellency Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan, had the honor and pleasure of making a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Jose C. Laurel V, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Philippines in Japan, at the Philippines Embassy in Tokyo. Also in attendance was Mr. Asif Agah, Second Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, expressed his appreciation to H.E. Mr. Laurel V for making the time in his schedule to meet as well as for the generous support of the people and Government of the Republic of the Philippines over the years.

H.E. Mr. Laurel V in return expressed his warm welcome and congratulations on H.E. Dr. Mohabbat’s appointment as new Afghan Ambassador to Japan. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat and H.E. Mr. Laurel V both conversed about their mutual interests and Afghanistan’s effort on tackling the issues. Also, both countries have agreed to forge their mutual cooperation and seek every opportunity to not only build bridges between both countries but to also help each other seek peace and prosperity. In return, H.E. Mr. Laurel V expressed that the Philippines stands in solidarity with its friend Afghanistan.
