March 01, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin
Fatimie had a pleasure and honor in attending the Tokyo International
Seminar of the International Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) featuring
a speech by Chief of Staff of Japan Self-Defense Forces, the Honorable
Admiral Katsutoshi Kawano. Adm. Kawano spoke on "Japan's Security: the
Security Environment Surrounding the Country and Integrated
Administration of the Self-Defense Force" from the perspective of the
top official-in-uniform supervising 230,000 SDF personnels. In the
speech, he briefed on the recent regional security developments, and
issues eyeing the security legislation enactment soon as well as the new
defense guideline. The seminar was attended by a large number of the
diplomatic missions.
