Hosting Luncheon for Former Chairman of the International Ladies Benevolent Society at the Ambassador’s Residence.
June 24, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to host a small luncheon for Hon. Ms. Mariko Nakasone, former Chairman of the International Ladies Benevolent Society, and Ms. Mary Katayama, of ILBS, in the Ambassador’s Residence within the embassy building.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat Thanked Hon. Ms. Nakasone and Mr. Katayama for making time in their schedule to join him as guests for what was sure to be an enjoyable lunch of specially prepared Afghan food. On behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, he thanked the people and Government of the noble nation of Japan for their steadfast and benevolent support over the years as Afghanistan has endeavored for progress, prosperity, and peace. In return, Hon. Ms. Nakasone and Mrs. Katayama thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for hosting them for a lovely luncheon gathering at the Ambassador’s residence and moreover assured him that they would do all in their power to continue the support to Afghanistan well into the future. All those present further discussed topics of mutual interest in a very warm and friendly environment.
