Farewell Meeting with H.E. Mr. Tsukasa Uemura, Director-General of Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of MOFA Japan.
April 18, 2017: It was an honor for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie to meeting with H.E. Mr. Tsukasa Uemura, Director-General of Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of MOFA Japan, at the Director-General’s Office in Kasumigaseki.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his sincerest thanks to H.E. Mr. Uemura for making time in his schedule to meet. H.E. Dr. Fatimie also thanked him for the long and enduring friendship between Japan and Afghanistan which has been an invaluable help in so many facets. H.E. Dr. Fatimie further expressed his thanks to the people and Government of the noble nation of Japan, and especially MOFA Japan, who have sincerely helped Afghanistan achieve great strides in progress on the road towards stability, peace, and prosperity over the past 15 years. Through Japan’s priceless cooperative efforts, they have helped to invest in Afghanistan’s future by way of Human Capacity Building, assuring an improved quality of life for all Afghans, and by extension, the world.
In return, H.E. Mr. Uemura thanked H.E. Dr. Fatimie for meeting with him, for what he sincerely hoped would not be a last time. He commended H.E. Dr. Fatimie on his many great efforts in bridging the grand relations between their two nations during his mission, and wished him all the success and best wishes on his return to Afghanistan, asking him to please visit Japan again. He further assured H.E. Dr. Fatimie of Japan’s continued support of Afghanistan in its ongoing development, their willingness of the people and Government of Japan to stand with the people and Government of Afghanistan, and their dedication to extend their support to contribute more focusing on the health sector and other humanitarian efforts. H.E. Dr. Fatimie told H.E. Mr. Uemura that as he has traveled all over Japan, from Okinawa to Hokkaido, he has been most impressed with the character of Japan’s citizens and their overwhelmingly kind hospitality. H.E. Mr. Uemura remarked how happy he was that he’d been so well received in Japan and at how well traveled in Japan H.E. Dr. Fatimie has been, and asked him to please remain in close contact with himself and Japan. All those present further discussed topics of mutual interest.
