Meeting with H.E. Mr. Masahiko Komura, Vice President of LDP
April 10, 2017: It was an honor for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to meeting with H.E. Mr. Masahiko Komura held at the LDP Headquarters in Nagatacho. H.E. Mr. Komura had been the Vice- President of the LDP (Liberal Democratic Party) since 2012, and an active politician since 1980. Also in attendance was Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Minister-Councillor for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his best wishes to H.E. Mr. Komura and thanked him for making time in his schedule to meet. H.E. Dr. Fatimie also thanked him for the long time friendly relationships between Japan and Afghanistan. H.E. Dr. Fatimie further expressed his thanks to the people and Government of the noble nation of Japan who have sincerely helped Afghanistan achieve great strides in progress on the road towards stability, peace, and prosperity, and updated him on the many progressive achievements in Afghanistan over the past 15 years, including in the realm of fighting corruption. In return, H.E. Mr. Komura thanked H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie for attending the meeting and his efforts in maintaining great relations with Japan. He further complimented H.E. Dr. Fatimie on being a wonderful ambassador serving to bridge the two countries, and assured him of Japan’s continued support of Afghanistan in its ongoing development. H.E. Dr. Fatimie and H.E. Mr. Komura further discussed topics of mutual interest and their hopes for continuing the partnership between Japan and Afghanistan.
