Meeting with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Hussain Shareef, new Ambassador of Maldives

April 5, 2017: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie to receive and meet with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Hussain Shareef, new Ambassador to the Republic of Maldives and Madam his wife, on a courtesy call at the Embassy of Afghanistan here in Tokyo. Also in attendance at the meeting was Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Minister-Councillor for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie thanked H.E. Ambassador Mr. Mohamed Hussain Shareef for kindly coming to meet with at the Embassy. In return H.E. Mr. Shareef thanked him for making time in his schedule to meet with him. As both countries are members of SAARC, those present agreed of the vital importance in the SAARC region for the respective member countries, like Maldives and Afghanistan, to forge their mutual cooperation and seek every opportunity to not only build bridges between their respective countries, but also to help each other seek peace and prosperity.
