March 12, 2019: It was an honor and pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to meet H.E. Dr. Mohammad Mirwais Balkhi, Minister of Education for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, at Narita Airport and escort him to Haneda Airport and on to Shimane Prefecture for an intensive ministerial workshop hosted by the United Nations (UNESCO). Also in attendance was Mr. Abdul Hameed Hashimi, THIRD Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo.
Upon arriving, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat expressed a very warm welcome to H.E. Minister Dr. Balkhi and wished him a most fruitful, successful, and enjoyable time in the friendly and supportive nation of Japan for the UN Ministerial workshop. Further he expressed that the Embassy and all of its resources would be available to him during his stay in Japan. In return, H.E. Minister Dr. Balkhi thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for the kind welcome as well as for arranging to accompany him through to Shimane Prefecture where the conference workshop will be situated.
On the second day while in Shimane Prefecture, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat and H.E. Minister Dr. Balkhi visited the Nakamura Brace Company and had the pleasure of meeting with the Hon. Mr. Toshiro Nakamura, Chairman and CEO of the Nakamura Brace Company. His company were the generous donors of prosthetic devices to Afghans in need and therefore H.E. Dr. Mohabbat and H.E. Minister Dr. Balkhi presented Hon. Mr. Nakamura and the Nakamura Brace Company a certificate of appreciation for the benevolent generosity and philanthropy on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked Hon. Mr. Nakamura for all of his hard work, dedication, and magnanimity in helping to improve the lives of Afghans and expressed wishes that Nakamura Brace Company would continue its generosity and support.
