Mr. Hamdard visits Meiji Jingu Iris Garden including the Special Iris Viewing at Meiji Jingu Shrine in Yoyogi, Tokyo
June 14, 2018: Mr. Basir Hamdard, First Secretary and Head of Political Affairs of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, visited with great pleasure the Meiji Jingu Iris Garden including the Special Iris Viewing at the Meiji Jingu Shrine in Yoyogi, Tokyo. The Iris Garden at the Meiji Jingu Shrine is a secret flower garden at the popular shrine. The garden features a walk amongst 1,500 irises, and it is only open to the public in June during the rainy season in Japan.
Hence, Mr. Hamdard had great pleasure and felt humbled to have the chance of seeing this unique garden. He enjoyed the walk amongst the beautiful flowers which recharged him with new energy for the whole week. He expressed his gratitude towards the Meiji Jingu Shrine for inviting him, and he promised to return next year. Also, the Meiji Jingu Shrine thanked Mr. Hmdard for accepting the invitation, and all staff members look forward to seeing him and other Members from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, again the following year.
