Attendance at Iftar Dinner Hosted by H.E. Ambassador of Turkey.
May 16, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the Iftar Dinner in the Ambassador’s residence at Embassy of the Republic of Turkey during the most Holy Month of Ramadan. Also guests of H.E. the Ambassador of Turkey for the Iftar dinner in attendance for the evening were others of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of Islamic nations with missions in Japan.
H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, warmly welcomed H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat and expressed his gratitude for his attending the event. In return, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Dr. Mercan, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the long and benevolent support of the people and Government of Turkey over the years. Further he remarked that the kind and truly meaningful cooperation they have given has helped progress Afghanistan’s development and furthering of peace in an Afghan-owned and Afghan-led process. H.E. Dr. Mercan reciprocated his assurance that as a brother country Turkey will continue to support Afghanistan as it strives for peace. Along with the wonderful meal, a strong sense of brotherhood was felt through the interactions between all nations’ representatives present and their bright futures actively moving toward peace were discussed.
