Dinner and Cultural Heritage Presentation Seminar for Member of the World Heritage Academy.

May 10, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to host a dinner and cultural heritage seminar for over 70 members of the NPO World Heritage Academy at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, Japan.

The Guests of the World Heritage Academy were greeted with welcoming remarks by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat who had prepared a special evening for the guests. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat spoke on the most precious and long relations between Afghanistan and Japan, and how forever, heart to heart, the two countries and their people would be tied in friendship. Further, the guests were given a delightful and informative presentation on Afghanistan’s culture, history, natural resources, and progress by Mr. Ashraf Baburi of the Embassy’s staff.

Following their presentation on Afghanistan, the guests were treated to delicious Afghan food carefully prepared by the embassy. While they dined they were entertained by the sounds of the Japanese-Afghan fusion musical group, “Chalpasah” playing traditional Afghan instruments and singing Afghan songs.

At the completion of the meal and entertainment, Hon. Mr. Masatou Kitamura, Head Director of the World Heritage Academy and Honorary Adviser of The Minichi Newspapers, thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat, all the Embassy diplomats and staff for the amazing Afghan hospitality and for teaching them just how wonderful Afghanistan and her people truly are. All those present had an enjoyable time and remarked at how impressed they were with their new introduction to the wonders of Afghanistan.
