Meeting with H.E. the Ambassador of the Philippines.
July 2, 2019: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to receive with H.E. Mr. Jose C. Laurel V, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, at the Embassy building. Also in attendance was Mr. AbdulHameed Hashimi, Second Secretary.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Laurel for taking the time to meet with him. Furthermore, he thanked H.E. Mr. Laurel, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, for the kind support of Afghanistan by the warm, friendly people and Government of the Philippines over the years at it has strived for progress, prosperity, and peace. As the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Philippines, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat has great interest and a special place in his heart for the wonderfully kind people of the Philippines. In return, H.E. Mr. Laurel thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and expressed his sincerest promises for the relations between their two respective countries to deepen and become more profound. Additionally, he remarked that the Republic of the Philippines would fully support and stand by the people and Government of Afghanistan as it progresses on its peace process, as well as well into the future and beyond.
