Attendance at the National Day Reception of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
July 8, 2019: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the National Day Reception of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the residence of His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Ayman Aly Kamel.
At the ceremony prior to the reception, H.E. Mr. Kenji Yamada, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan spoke on the close relations between Egypt and Japan. On behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat expressed heartfelt congratulations to the people and Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt through H.E. Ambassador Mr. Kamel in honor of the auspicious occasion as well as expressed his appreciation for Egypt's continuous support in Afghanistan during the rebuilding process. In return, H.E. Mr. Kamel thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and attendance.
While at the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with H.E. Mr. Kentaro Sonoura, Special Advisor to H.E. the Prime Minister of Japan and former State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan; and H.E. Ambassador Mr. Kiminori Iwama, Chief of Protocol for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Japan, to whom he expressed sincerest thanks on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the steadfast and benevolent support of the people and Government of Japan over the years as Afghanistan has striven for progress, prosperity and Peace. Additionally, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors such as H.E. Ambassador Mr. Mohammed Rachad Bouhlal of the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as diplomats with missions in Japan, and high-ranking members of several Governments who were present in honor of the auspicious occasion.
