Meeting with H.E. Mr. Katsuhiko Takahashi, Deputy Director-General for the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of MOFA Japan

October 17, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure of hosting a luncheon meeting with H.E. Mr. Katsuhiko Takahashi, Deputy Director-General for the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of MOFA Japan.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Takahashi for making the time in his busy schedule to meet with him. He also expressed his gratitude to the people and Government of the noble nation of Japan, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for their continuous benevolent support during the reconstruction process of Afghanistan over the years. Additionally H.E. Dr. Mohabbat updated him on the many progressive achievements in Afghanistan over the past 16 years especially those undertaken since the formation of the National Unity Government.

In return, H.E. Mr. Takahashi thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for hosting the luncheon and arranging their meeting. He also warmly congratulated him on assuming the post as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan and he wished H.E. Dr. Mohabbat the greatest of success in his endeavors throughout his mission remarking that he was certain to do so due to H.E. Dr. Mohabbat’s long time and experience in Japan. Additionally he reaffirmed that Japan will hold to its promises and continue its support of Afghanistan well into the future.
