Courtesy Call on H.E. Ambassador of the UAE

October 5, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure of making a courtesy call on His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Khaled Oman Sqait Sarhan Alameri at Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Tokyo. Also in attendance was Mr. Abdulzaman Akbari, Third Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.

H.E. Ambassador Mr. Alameri extended a warm welcome to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat and thanked him for taking the time to visit the Embassy of the UAE. Furthermore, H.E. Mr. Alameri congratulated H.E. Dr. Mohabbat on his recent appointment as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan and wished him a successful tenure, noting he was certain to have one due to his longtime and experience in Japan. In return, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Alameri for his hospitality and kind words, thanked the people and Government of the UAE for their long support of Afghanistan during the reconstruction process, and he expressed his hope to see Afghanistan-UAE relations continue to strengthen and flourish. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also took the opportunity to update H.E. Mr. Alameri on the significant progress Afghanistan has made in recent years under the National Unity Government, especially in development, education, and human rights.

Following the exchange of pleasantries, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat and H.E. Mr. Alameri discussed topics of mutual interest, such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
