October 3, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure of receiving Mr. Ken Matsuzawa, President of The International Friendship Exchange Council, and Mr. Seiko Ogisu, General Manager and Administrative Affairs & Secretarial Department of The International Friendship Exchange Council, at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.
Mr. Matsuzawa and Mr. Ogisu congratulated H.E. Dr. Mohabbat on his recent appointment as the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Japan and wished him a successful tenor, noting he was certain to have one due to his longtime experience in Japan. Mr. Matsuzawa and Mr. Ogisu warmly welcomed H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat to the FEC and congratulated him on his new membership. Furthermore, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat sincerely thanked Mr. Matsuzawa and Mr. Ogisu for their kind words and for coming to visit the Embassy. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed his happiness to join such a prestigious organization with many distinguished members and diplomats. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also took the opportunity to thank, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, the tremendous support Japan has offered to Afghanistan, especially during the years of the National Unity Government.
