Attendance at National Day Reception at Embassy of Spain.
October 12, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure and honor of attending a reception to celebrate the National Day of the Kingdom of Spain hosted by H.E. Mr. Gonzalo De Benito Secades at the Embassy of Spain in Tokyo.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat took the opportunity to extend his deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan, to the Kingdom of Spain, through H.E. Ambassador Mr. De Benito, to wish sincerest congratulations on this most auspicious day. He further conveyed his wish that Spain would enjoy renewed and ongoing peace and prosperity, his wishes for the welfare of the Spanish people, and his desire that the two nations would continue grow closer well into the future. In return, H.E. Mr. De Benito thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his words and attendance at their National Day celebration and expressed his best wishes for the people and Government of Spain as well as his hope for their two nations to strengthen their ties of friendship.
H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the opportunity to meet and converse with several of Their Excellencies Ambassadors, many high ranking Japanese officials, and members of diplomatic missions stationed in Tokyo with whom he extended his greetings and discussed areas of mutual interest such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
