21/12/16 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Visits the Embassy of Germany for Condolence Book Signing


December 21, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie visited the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tokyo to express, on behalf of the people and the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, his heartfelt condolences for the victims of the tragedy at the Christmas market in Breitscheidplatz, Berlin, that has at least taken away the precious lives of 12 people.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the honor of being received and warmly welcomed by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Hans Carl Freiherr von Werthern of Germany, as one of the first to sign the condolence book. H.E. Dr. Fatimie expressed to H.E. Dr. Werthern the deep sorrow, and iterated that Afghanistan stands in solidarity with Germany, a friend that has been helping widely the reconstruction of Afghanistan, against any kind of terrorism.

It was with a heavy heart for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to visit the embassy of Italy for the condolence book signing in memory of the victims of the earthquake occurred on Aug. 24th. As H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie arrived, H.E. Mr. Domenico Giorgi, Ambassador of Italy, appeared to accompany him. H.E. Dr. Fatimie expressed his deepest condolences, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the lost lives and suffering of all those affected, of the country long have been helping the reconstruction of Afghanistan.

Nathan, former president of the Republic of Singapore, as well as expressed his sympathy to the entire nation.

November 17, 2015: 
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie paid a visit to the Embassy of France in Japan to express, on behalf of people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, a heartfelt sympathy and condolences, and wishes for quick recoveries to the people and the Government of the Republic of France, particularly to the family of the victims and those who were affected by the horrific multiple terror attacks in Paris on November 13th, 2015. H.E. Ambassador also expressed to condemn such barbaric and intolerable action that represents no religion, must be stopped for people's peaceful and prospered lives.

09/11/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Receives The Honorable Mayor Takei's Condolence Visit

November 09, 2015: 

It was an immense pleasure and honor for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie and the entire embassy to receive the Honorable Mr. Masaaki Takei, Mayor of Minato-ku, of which the embassy locates in Tokyo, along with his delegation. The Honorable Mayor Mr. Takei visited the embassy to deliver the donation collected by Minato City and Minato City Assembly, and to express their deep condolences and encouragement for the victims of the reportedly Magnitude 7.5 earthquake that shook Afghanistan and the region on October 26th. The Honorable Mayor Takei said that Japan has been prone to be affected by natural disasters therefore he sympathizes Afghanistan the casualty from the natural disaster. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his heartfelt and sincerest appreciation for the Mayor's visit for the condolence message, as well as to the accompanying delegation visited the embassy for their great kindness. Citing the Japan's continuous assistance to Afghanistan over the decade in addition to the support this time, Afghan people will never forget Japanese friendship during Afghan's hardship, because Afghanistan and Japan are true friends, H.E. Ambassador added.

The Honorable Minato City Mayor Mr. Takei also expressed his appreciation to H.E. Ambassdor Dr. Fatimie and the embassy for attending Minato City Festival held on Oct. 10-11, for H.E. Ambassaor's speech regarding the importance of peace, following the participation to the discussion session with the university students, and opening the embassy booth during the festival. The Honorable Mr. Takei expressed his gratitude that the festival was done so successful due to one of the main event, speech delivered by H.E. Ambassador and the participation of the Afghan embassy regarding peace, and those were highly appreciated by visitors. H.E. Dr. Fatimie expressed his deep appreciation for H.E. Mayor's words, and noted that without the Honorable Mr. Takei's great leadership and great efforts of his staffs at Minato City Hall, it had not been so successful. H.E. Ambassdor Dr. Fatimie also expressed his gratitude that under such great leadership and cooperation, the embassy can operate smoothly in Minato-ku, and wishes to maintain this close relationship. In response the Honorable Mayor Mr. Takei thanked H.E. Dr. Fatimie's words, and agreed to keep the closer relationship.

04/11/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Receives a Visit of Condolence

November 04, 2015: 

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie warmly welcomed Mr. Tetsuya Suzuki, a Japanese citizen, for kindly delivering a flower to show his sympathy towards victims of the recent earthquake shook South Asia region including, and particularly, Afghanistan. Mr. Suzuki said he had known a news that Afghanistan stood with Japan after the event of the earthquake and tsunami disasters on March 11, 2011, by collecting a donation and delivered to Japanese Red Cross Society, despite their hardship, therefore he had wanted to return such kindness. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his deep appreciation to Mr. Suzuki, and told that the flower and his kind sympathy are great encouragement and support to Afghans who were affected by Magnitude 7.5 earthquake on October 26. H.E. Ambassador also mentioned that the friendship during each other's hardship proves a great relationship between Afghanistan and Japan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his deepest commiserations to His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Monirath Hor, who appreciated his attendance, and to the people of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

1/05/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Extends Support to the Nation of Nepal

May 01, 2015: The horrendous earthquake that struck the virtuous nation of Nepal on the 25th of April resulting in deaths numbering in the thousands has brought tremendous grief to all Afghans. His Excellency President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has publicly communicated His utmost sympathies for the suffering caused by this immense tragedy and that the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan are united in anguish with the righteous people and Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

Here in Japan, it was with a heavy heart that, despite the details of the upcoming official condolence book signing ceremony having not yet been released, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie still traveled to the Embassy of Nepal on his own initiative to lend support to the fellow SAARC member state. On behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie communicated to the Ambassador of Nepal, His Excellency Dr. Madan Kumar Bhattarai, his deepest condolences and that the thoughts and prayers of the entire nation of Afghanistan are with the brave people of Nepal, and particularly with the families who have lost loves ones, in this time of immense human and cultural loss. 

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bhattari was highly grateful for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie's sincere letter of condolence and for travelling to the Embassy, despite his hectic schedule. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was provided with a detailed briefing regarding the events and the ongoing relief operations by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bhattari who greatly appreciated the heartfelt sympathies he had received.

9/04/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends Kenyan Condolence Book Signing Ceremony

April 09, 2015: The people and Government of Afghanistan condemn, in the strongest of terms, all forms of terrorism regardless of where in the world it presents itself and it was with this conviction that His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, extended his deepest condolences and utmost outrage at the barbaric attack which killed 147 precious lives in Garissa on the 2nd of April. At the condolence book signing ceremony, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie noted that the cowards who committed the despicable act of terrorism were no different to the terrorists who murdered some fifty young people at a volleyball game in November last year in Paktika Province and that Afghanistan stands united with the people and Government of Kenya in sorrow and in the fight to rid the world of extremism.

March 24, 2015: It was with a heavy heart that, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and at the same time as His Excellency Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie communicate His most forthright commiserations to the honorable Republic of Singapore at a condolence book signing ceremony in this time of great anguish due to the passing away of the esteemed Former Prime Minister of Singapore, His Excellency Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. In recognition of the high esteem in which H.E. Mr. Lee is held-in in Afghanistan and the importance of the relations between the two countries, a high-ranking delegation of the Afghan Government will soon arrive in Singapore to pay their respects.

Always taking the responsibility to further the relations between Afghanistan and Japan at any possible opportunity, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie at the Signing Book Ceremony also conversed with The Honorable Mr. Itoh Tadahiko from the governing Liberal Democratic Party and The Honorable Mr. Aki Awai from the opposition Democratic Party of Japan and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Friday 23, 2015: The passing of the late Mr. Enayat Nabard Yazdani caused a great deal of sadness for family and the broader society as he was a well respected figure in the community. It was with a high degree of graciousness that Imam Muhammed Rashit Alas and Mr. Bilal Atalay from the Tokyo Camii organized and facilitated a funeral for Mr. Yazdani based on Islamic practices. Mr. Yazdani's wife and family as well as the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan felt immense appreciation for the tenderhearted approach of Imam Alas, Mr. Atalay and all the mosque's staff in coordinating a fitting farewell for a life honorably lived. His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie presented letters of appreciation to Imam Alas and Mr. Atalay and once again expressed His deep gratitude for the altruistic efforts made. Imam Alas responded saying that it was His pleasure and that He will continue to do all He can for the community.

13/03/2013 Ambassador Fatimie’s March 11th memorial message published

March 13, 2013: A memorial message by Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the March 11, 2011 tragic disasters was published in the Daily Yomiuri newspaper. Ambassador Fatimie offered his sympathies and encouragement. The full text of the message is as follows.
 
Two years have passed since tragic disasters afflicted your noble nation. While our Embassy felt the effects, we were struck by the suffering elsewhere, particularly in the Tohoku region. Each life lost and every destructive aspect further saddened our people and Government. Despite limitations, we offered what we could. Government and Embassy funds were given, and I was honored to personally help deliver supplies to evacuees. For what we contributed, we received more. We were inspired by your strength. Afghans know firsthand that rebuilding takes time, but Japanese people are capable. We stand together with you now and forever.

6/06/2011 Ambassador Fatimie welcomes Mr. Yui of NHK to the Embassy

June 6, 2011: Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie welcomed Mr. Hideki Yui of NHK broadcasting to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Mr. Yui, who has covered or facilitated coverage of the Embassy and Afghan activities in Japan on multiple occasions, has officially been named as the next head of NHK’s Afghanistan-Pakistan bureau. Mr. Jason Pratt, Public Relations Officer for the Embassy, was also present.
Ambassador Fatimie spoke of the tragedies of March 11th, offering his deepest condolences for the victims while praising the resilience of the Japanese people. Ambassador Fatimie continued by offering sincerest congratulations on Mr. Yui’s new and exciting appointment, challenging him to continue in NHK’s tradition of high journalistic standards, to serve as an accurate window for Japanese into the true Afghanistan, and to serve as a civilian bridge between the nations. The Ambassador also offered to be of assistance to Mr. Yui during his time in Afghanistan and the region.
Mr. Yui thanked Ambassador Fatimie for his kind sentiments and declared that he is dedicated to portraying Afghanistan in an honest and fair light.

26/05/2011 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends Buffet Meeting Hosted by His Imperial Majesty the Crown Prince of Japan at the His Majesty's Palace

May 26, 2011: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the esteemed honor to attend a buffet at the palace of His Imperial Highness The Crown Prince of Japan and received a warm welcome. Seven Ambassadors in total attended the meeting.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie took the occasion to express deepest appreciation for the generous and selfless support that Japan has extended to Afghanistan’s development, emphasizing the important role that the Imperial Family has played in relations between the two friendly nations. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie further conveyed to His Imperial Highness deepest condolences on the massive loss of life and damages caused by the disasters of March 11th, expressing the solidarity of the Afghan people with the Japanese in this time of difficulty.
In return, His Imperial Highness The Crown Prince of Japan kindly expressed gratitude for the Afghan support these last months, expressing the deep friendship between the nations. Building upon this, His Imperial Highness The Crown Prince of Japan conveyed that His esteemed parents, Their Imperial Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan, had shared with Him Their warm memories from Their trip to Afghanistan in 1971. His His Imperial Highness The Crown Prince of Japan said that both He and Their Imperial Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan wished the best for Afghanistan and the Afghan people.
