04/03/2015 The Embassy of Afghanistan Holds Third and Final Unforgettable Minato-ku World Carnival Event

March 4, 2015: In what was the final of the Embassy's three event series for the Minato-ku Council World Carnival, sixty-four honorable guests of the Japanese public were warmly welcomed to the Embassy in what was a special and memorable event which assisted to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Afghanistan and Japan.
Due to His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie being out of the country, the Embassy's Deputy Head and Minister Counsellor, His Excellency Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Poya Faryabi delivered an important speech which illustrated the people of Afghanistan's strong affiliation with and deep respect for the noble people of Japan and that the Afghan people will be forever grateful for the honorable nation of Japan’s generous support and friendship.

Earlier in the event, a forty-five minute presentation was delivered by the Embassy's Public Affairs Officer titled "Afghanistan In My Heart" which illuminated the juxtapositions of the unique and shared humanity which manifest itself as the daily realities of how Afghanistan is experienced.
Following this, a highly stimulating question and answer session was held which facilitated direct interaction between diplomatic staff, His Excellency Minister Counsellor Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Poya Faryabi, First Secretary and Consul Mrs. Farima OryaKhil Afzali, Second Secretary Mr. Mohammad Yasir Karimi, and Third Secretaries Mrs. Parwana Paikan and Mr. Sayed Ali Asghar Amiri, and honored guests, during which many excellent questions were asked.

Finally, a group photo was taken on the Embassy's rooftop next to the Tokyo Tower.
The Embassy would like to again express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of our sixty-four honorable participants for creating such a precious event. It was felt that many guests came as strangers but all left with positive lifelong memories and friendship with the people of Afghanistan.
