October 10, 2018: H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the pleasure of attending the 5th Annual “Innovation for Cool Earth Forum” at the Hotel Chinzanso in Tokyo. Also in attendance was Dr. Rahim Azimi, First Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.
The event, hosted and co-hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), The New and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and the Ministry of the Environment (MOE), strived to provide a platform to promote discussions and cooperation among researchers, business partners and people, and policy makers from around the world in order to address climate change through innovation of energy and environmental technologies including their dissemination.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat expressed his congratulations, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to the event organizers, sponsors, and Steering Member Committee for conducting a most beneficial and informative event. While at the event, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the opportunity to meet and converse with others of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, diplomats with missions in Japan, industry leaders, and other distinguished guests.
