Seasonal Greeting, gratitude conveyed to Hon. Mr. Iijima, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister and Senior Fellow at Keidanren
December 21, 2017: H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat was warmly received by the Honorable Mr. Isao Iijima, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister and Senior Fellow at Keidanren, at the latter’s office.
H.E. Dr. Mohabbat has had the pleasure of enjoying a long and positive relationship with the Hon. Mr. Iijima. For this reason, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat considered it his great honor to take this opportunity to wish the Hon. Mr. Iijima most cordial courtesies as 2017 comes to a close. Considering all that the Hon. Mr. Iijima has done over the years in order to create excellent relations between the two nations of Afghanistan and Japan, Dr. Mohabbat, in addition to expressing deep gratitude, expressed a desire to see this continue into 2018 and beyond. In this sense, he particularly mentioned a desire to realize a visit by H.E. President Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan and to realize Japanese investment within Afghanistan’s mining sector.
