Attendance at the 54th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Kenya Reception.
December 12, 2017: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the 54th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Kenya Reception at the Tokyo Marriott Hotel.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat took the opportunity to extend his deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan, to the Republic of Kenya, through H.E. Ambassador Mr. S.K. Maina, MBS, to wish sincerest congratulations on this most auspicious day. He further conveyed his wish that Kenya would enjoy renewed and ongoing peace and prosperity, his wishes for the welfare of the Kenyan people, and his desire that the two nations would continue grow closer well into the future. In return, H.E. Mr. Maina thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his words and attendance at their Independence Anniversary Day celebration and expressed his best wishes for the people and Government of Afghanistan as well as his hope for their two nations to strengthen their ties of friendship.
H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the opportunity to meet and converse with Mr. Jun Karube, President & CEO for Toyota Tsusho Corporation, as well as several of Their Excellencies Ambassadors, many high ranking Japanese officials, and members of diplomatic missions stationed in Japan with whom he extended his greetings and discussed many topics of mutual interest.
