Mr. Hamdard Meets With Representatives From the Red Cross Society.
September 27, 2016: It was a pleasure for Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, to receive representatives from the Japanese red Cross Society as guests at the embassy. Mr. Yukiya Saito, Director of International Department, Operations Sector, and Mr. Taro Fujisaki, Planning and Coordination Division of the International Department’s Operations Sector, were in attendance.
They kindly came to the embassy in order to discuss areas of mutual interest between their organization and Afghanistan, most importantly, how to best foster continuous support between them. The representatives thanked Mr. Hamdard for Afghanistan’s assistance in the aftermath of Japan’s Great Tohoku Earthquake of 2011. In return, Mr. Hamdard thanked them for their aid and infrastructural help to Afghanistan, their many hospitals and health centers which have helped improved health standards for the citizens. He also kindly requested their continued assistance, particularly with helping to integrate and care for the many returning refugees.
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie also had the pleasure of greeting the guests. He expressed to them, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan, his thank for their many achievements and invaluable assistance to the peace and development process of Afghanistan.
