Receiving H.E. Mr. Amanullah Ghalib, Deputy Minister of Energy for Afghanistan’s MEW.
March 2, 2017: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to receive H.E. Mr. Amanullah Ghalib, Deputy Minister of Energy for the Ministry of Energy and Water of Afghanistan at the embassy.
H.E. Mr. Ghalib was in Japan for the Asian Development Bank’s Deployment of Innovative Energy Technologies and Solutions Workshop and Field Visits, at which H.E. Mr. Ghalib delivered a speech at one of the workshops.
Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, Minister-Counsellor, and Mr. Basir Hamdard, First Secretary, of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan had accompanied H.E. Mr. Ghalib to the events workshops earlier in the week. The workshop was attended by energy technology providers from Japan, policy makers and utilities groups from developing member countries (DMCs), and selected ADB staff. It aimed to identify potential technologies suitable for adoption in DMCs such as distributed energy systems, mini grids, battery storage, and power demand response.
