Attendance at the Ikebana International Fair 2018.
December 19, 2018: It was a pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the annual Ikebana International Fair 2018 at the Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo. Among the high ranking guests at the event was Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado.
The Royal Hall was filled with over 100 participants and guests from all over Japan visiting and enjoying international booths of 24 embassies, and booths of domestic chapters of Ikebana International as well as participating shops. The Embassy of Afghanistan had a booth showcasing delicious melt-in-your-mouth “Abedandan” cookies, crispy “Gosh-e feel” cookies, award winning Afghan saffron & tea, lapis lazuli jewelry, and lovely intricate Afghan shawls. The Afghan Booth was a favorite of the many guests who visited the event and they were delighted to see the many sweets, spices, and beautiful craft works of the nation of Afghanistan.
