Attendance of the 55th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Kenya

December 12, 2018: It was an honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the 55th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Kenya at Tokyo Marriott Hotel.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat took the opportunity to extend his deepest gratitude, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan, to the Republic of Kenya, through H.E. Ambassador Mr. Solomon K. Maina to wish sincerest congratulations on this most auspicious day. He further conveyed his wish that Kenya would enjoy renewed and ongoing peace and prosperity, his wishes for the welfare of the Kenyan people, and his desire that the two nations would continue grow closer well into the future. In return, H.E. Mr. Maina thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his words and attendance at their Independence Anniversary Day celebration and expressed his best wishes for the people and Government of Afghanistan as well as his hope for their two nations to strengthen their ties of friendship.
While at the reception, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the honor to meet once again with H.E. Mr. Masahiko Sato, State Minister for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to whom he expressed sincere thanks and appreciation on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for the steadfast and benevolent support and friendship by the people and Government of the noble nation of Japan over the years on its road to redevelopment, peace, and prosperity. In return, H.E. State Minister Sato thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and assured him that Japan would continue to stand by Afghanistan well into the future. Additionally, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, diplomats with missions in Japan, members of government, and other distinguished guests all present for the auspicious occasion.
