Attendance at Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan’s Annual Garden Party.
April 25, 2018: H.E. Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the great honor and pleasure in attending the Garden Party at Akasaka Imperial Gardens hosted by Their Imperial Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan. Also in attendance was Mr. Ahmad Bashir Ghafoori, First Secretary and Consul for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan.
This lovely annual event, coupled with the beautiful garden surroundings, serves to allow the diplomatic community in Japan and Japanese dignitaries to strengthen further relations amongst each other as well as with Their Majesties and other members of Japan’s Government. With much reverence, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked Their Majesties, as well as to Their Imperial Highnesses the Crown Prince and Crown Princess for hosting the event.
H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the pleasure of meeting and talking with H.E. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to whom he expressed, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, his heartfelt gratitude for their most noble, effect-generating support to Afghanistan’s peace and development over the years. He expressed sincere thanks for Japan’s great assistance over the years when he had the occasion to meet again with his long time friend, H.E. Ms. Seiko Noda, Minister of Internal Affairs & Communications, Minister of State for Women’s Empowerment, and Minister of State for the Social Security and Tax Number System.
Also while at the event H.E. Dr. Mohabbat had the occasion to meet H.E. Ms. Yoko Kamikawa, Minister of Justice; as well as H.E. Mr. Toshimiotsu Motegi, Minister in Charge of Economic Revitalization to whom he expressed great appreciation to the people and Government of Japan for the benevolent aid during Afghanistan’s progress towards a prosperous and peaceful future.
H.E. Dr. Mohabbat was also able to interact with and express further the sincerest appreciation of the Afghan people and Government to a number of key people including several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors – such as the Ambassadors of Italy, Iraq, Qatar, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom – Heads of Mission, Diplomats with missions in Japan, high ranking Japanese officials, and other distinguished guests.
