25/09/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan
September 25, 2015: It was a great honor for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to attend the Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan reception. On behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie congratulated H.E. Mr. Farrukh Islomdjonovich Tursunov, Uzbek Ambassador, for the occasion and expressed his sincere wishes for the betterment of the people as well as the friendly relationship of two neighboring nations. H.E. Ambassador Mr. Tursunov appreciated H.E. Dr. Fatimie’s attendance and kind wishes in response.
The reception was celebrated by the attendance of many key individuals including H.E. Mr. Kentaro Sonoura, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Honorable Member of House of Representatives, who delivered His speech representing the Government of Japan. Also in attendance, it was a great pleasure and honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie to meet again and converse with H.E. the Honorable Member of House of Councillors Mrs. Kyoko Nakayama, former Minister / former Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan (pictured below on the right); and Mr. Hiroo Saionji, president of Goi Peace Foundation.

24/09/2015 Prayer for the occasion of Eid-al-Adha
September 24, 2015:
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a great pleasure of visiting Tokyo Camii, along with the diplomats of the embassy, Afghan residents in the area and other Muslims, for the occasion of the prayer for Eid-al-Adha. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie congratulated the occasion and expressed his wishes for all that they would have a good holiday with good health. At the prayer, H.E. Dr. Fatimie coincided with Captain Murat Erdem, Military Attache stationed at Turkish Embassy in Japan, and communicated, on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, to express the gratitude for the people and the Government of Turkey that have been a good friend and have contributed to the redevelopment of Afghanistan. Captain Erdem responded with the wish for the holiday, that he appreciates the H.E. Dr. Fatimie’ s kind words and he wishes even better friendship of Turkey and Afghanistan.

It was a great honor and pleasure for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to be invited by Japanese Prime Minister’s Office and the United Nations Information Center in Tokyo to the launch event titled “Digitalized Japan-UN material.” The event was opened by the remark of H.E. Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and followed by the video messages respectively from H.E. Ms. Cristina Gallach, UN Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information, and Mr. Yasushi Akashi, Chairman of International House of Japan / former UN Under-Secretary General.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had a pleasure of communicating with moderator Ms. Kaoru Nemoto, Director of UN Information Center – Tokyo, and all the panel discussants of the event, Mr. Tomohiko Taniguchi, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Cabinet and Professor of Keio University Graduate School; Mr. Kunihiko Hirabayashi, Director of the UNICEF Tokyo Office; Ms. Yukie Osa, president of AAR Japan / Professor of Rikkyo University Graduate School. H.E. Ambassador also conversed with Mr. Samya Slimani, first secretary of the embassy of Algeria.
The event was attended by Ambassadors of other countries, key officials from relevant offices, and it illustrated an interesting cooperation of Japan and United Nation in this information age.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a great honor to attend the 55th Cote d’Ivoire Independence Anniversary reception. On behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E Ambassador Dr. Fatimie congratulated and expressed his warm wishes to H.E. Mr. Jerome Kloh Weya, Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire. In return, H.E. Ambassador Mr. Weya expressed his gratitude for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie’s attendance to the occasion and his kind words, and wished for the continuing good relationship between Cote d’Ivoire and Afghanistan.
It was also a great honor for H.E Ambassador Dr. Fatimie to converse with H.E. the Honorable Mr. Hidemichi Sato, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Agricultures, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, and Member of the House of Representatives. H.E. Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude to H.E. the Honorable Mr. Sato for Japan’s generous support to Afghanistan, and his extraordinary kindness H.E. had received at the occasion. H.E. Parliamentary Vice-Minister Mr. Sato replied that he appreciates H.E. Dr. Ambassador’s words, and Japan will continue the support for Afghanistan.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie, accompanied by Mr. Ahmad Bashir Ghafoori, first secretary, had a pleasure of being invited to the graduation ceremony of National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS).
Among others, two Afghan students for the GRIPS’ master’s degree course successfully fulfilled their curriculum this season, who had studied in Japan through Japan's official scholarship called PEACE program of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). H.E. Ambasador Dr. Fatimie congratulated and expressed to Mr. Hamdullah Hamdard and Mr. Obaidullah that their academic experiences and achievements are much needed for the reconstruction of their home, Afghanistan, and their effort and dedication to it is much looked forward, for the peace, stability, and prosperity of future Afghanistan.

16/09/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends UNITAR Reception for Welcoming Afghan Women's National Football Team visiting Hiroshima
September 16, 2015:
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie visited Hiroshima to attend the reception welcoming Afghanistan women’s national football team hosted by United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
The reception was truly meaningful to the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. The team inspires and gives hope to the empowerment of women in Afghanistan, due to little choices women had in their life until not so long ago. In the speech, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his deepest gratitude towards Ms. Mihoko Kumamoto, Director of UNITAR Hiroshima Office for organizing and inviting the team to Hiroshima, and for hosting the momentous reception. H.E. Dr. Fatimie also met and expressed his sincere appreciation to H.E. Mr. Hidehiko Yuzaki, the Governor of Hiroshima prefecture; Mr. Kuniya Daini, Chairman of Japan Football Association; and Mr. Aritatsu Ogi, Chairman of Hiroshima Football Association, for their presence at the reception as well as for the invaluable support they have been providing to Afghanistan.
At the reception, H.E. 16/09/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Hosts Memorial Reception for Martyrs' Day
September 16, 2015:
To celebrate and remember the heroes who were martyred their precious lives for the country of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie hosted the reception of the Martyrs’ Day at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, Japan.
The event was initiated by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie’s speech, by commemorating those who were sacrificed for the country, therefore the people today and future will remember and appreciate them Afghanistan today stands on their enormous sacrifice.
The reception was followed by Dr. Fraidon Karimi’s speech by representing Afghan students in Japan, speech by Mr. Ahmad Kamal Qasemyar, human resource officer of Kabul Municipality, and Mr. Noorullahaq Omari recited. Including Mr. Qasemyar, short-term invitation program participants of Afghan officials were on 10 days training visit to Japan, and attended the reception at the embassy. The occasion was also celebrated with the attendance of Afghan residents in Japan, and Afghan lunch was served for all.

Having made their independence in 1821, 5 Central American countries –Republics of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, mark 194th anniversary this year. The occasion was celebrated altogether, and it was an honor for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to attend the celebrating reception in Tokyo. On behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie congratulated Their Excellencies Ambassadors of each country respectively, H.E. Ms. Laura Maria Esquivel Mora, Ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica; H.E. Ms. Martha Lidia Zelayandia Cisneros, Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador; Mr. Cristobal Adalberto Herrera Dubon, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of the Republic of Guatemala; H.E. Mrs. Marlene Villela de Talbott, Ambassador of the Republic of Honduras; and H.E. Mr. Saul Arana Castellon, Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua, for marking their independence day and warmly wished a prosperous future for each country and its people as well as for the region, to maintain the good relation with Afghanistan and the world.
It was also a great honor and pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie to communicate with the Honorable Member of the House of Representatives, Ms. Shinako Tsuchiya, Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives (pictured on the left). First, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed His Excellency’s sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Honorable Ms. Tsuchiya for Japan’s years of generous and impact generating support to Afghanistan, and how people of Afghanistan have felt grateful and unforgettable. In response the Honorable Ms. Tsuchiya expressed her appreciation for the kind words, and she assured Japan will continue to be a good friend of Afghanistan and its support for the reconstruction. It was a great honor for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie to attend “Ambassadors’ Breakfast,” a special gathering for Ambassadors stationed in Tokyo, and listen to H.E. Mr. Yoichi Masuzoe, Governor of Tokyo regarding issues of Tokyo today, and his plans for the future of the city.
Already one of the greatest cities in the world Tokyo has been, Governor Masuzoe presented many interesting plans not only for redeveloping Tokyo for Olympic/Paralympic games scheduled in 2020, but also for the long-term growth of the mega-city.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a pleasure of attending the reception hosted by Mr. Ken Okaniwa, Deputy Director-General, Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The reception was held to welcome key actors from Middle Eastern and Northern Africa region invited by Japanese Foreign Ministry for a week-long tour in Japan. From the Embassy side, Mr. Ahmad Bashir Gafoori (First Secretary) and Mr. M. Yasir Karimi (Second Secretary) were present, too, and all the embassy members were delighted to meet the esteemed Mr. Kenshiro Matsunami, president of Nippon Sport Science University Group, and Mrs. Kuniko Matsunami, president of Japan-Afghanistan Friendship Association, who were also on attendance.
Afghan invitee, Mr. Kawun Kakar (pictured center), is a distinguished attorney in Afghanistan and has experiences including the adviser to the President, and has worked for multiple Afghan governmental institutions. Ambassador expressed his sincere wish to Mr. Kakar, as well as all other invited members from other countries H.E. September 08, 2015:
His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a great honor of attending the reception of National Day of Malaysia. H.E. Ambassador Fatimie communicated with H.E. Ambassador Mr. Dato Ahmad Izlan bin Idris of Malaysia to express congratulations for the occasion, his gratitude for the good relations between Afghanistan and Malaysia, and its cooperation to Afghans as there are number of Afghans live or visit the country. H.E. Ambassador Mr. Ahmad Izlan appreciated H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie’s attendance to the reception, and expressed that he wishes to maintain and make the current good relation even better, of the two countries with the Islamic background.
At the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had a pleasure to meet with the Honorable Mr. Keiji Furuya, Member of House of Representative, and the president of Japan-Malaysia Parliamentary Friendship League. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed his appreciation, on behalf of people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the generous assistance to Afghanistan by Japan. In return, the Honorable Mr. Furuya said since on that day Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was reelected as the president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, Japan will continue to support Afghanistan under H.E. Prime Minister’s leadership.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had a pleasure of attending the reception of National Day of Brazil, celebrated at the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Tokyo. H.E. Ambassador expressed his gratitude and congratulated H.E. Mr. Andre Aranha Correa do Lago, Ambassador of Brazil to Japan, of the occasion and amicable relation between Afghanistan and Brazil. H.E. Ambassador Mr. Lago expressed appreciation to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie of his attendance, and wished to maintain the good relationship as well as prosperity of both countries.
At the reception, H.E. Ambassador coincided with Her Excellency Ms. Yoko Kamikawa, Minister of Justice of Japan, and had a pleasure of conversing with Her Excellency that, on behalf of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Afghan nationals are grateful of Japan’s generous support and friendship over the years, and Afghans will never forget what Japan has done to help for their country.

His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie had an honor of attending the National Day reception of the Republic of Singapore. As Afghanistan’s non-resident Ambassador to Republic of Singapore, H.E. Dr. Fatimie expressed His sincere congratulations to H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore Mr. Chin Siat Yoon, and gratitude for their country’s contribution to redevelop Afghanistan. In return, H.E. Ambassador Chin expressed that the Republic of Singapore wishes to sustain a friendly relationship with Afghanistan.
