Ambassador Dr. Sayed Amin Fatimie received a very warm welcome at the offices of the New Komeito by Hon. President Natsuo Yamaguchi, a long-time friend of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and its mission in Tokyo.
Ambassador Dr. Fatimie at the outset expressed deepest gratitude to His Honor, on behalf of the people and Government, for Japan’s selfless and generous cooperation in a number of life-bettering and peace-extending fields. Within this, Ambassador Dr. Fatimie praised the role of the New Komeito in helping to shape and facilitate Japan’s enlightened policy. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie hailed Hon. President Yamaguchi’s first-handed approach towards this end.
In response, Hon. President Yamaguchi kindly responded that Japanese cooperation will continue into the future, declaring peace and development within the nation linked to peace and development in the region and the greater world.

25/02/2013 Ambassador Fatimie attends reception hosted by Hon. Representative Noda

Ambassador Dr. Sayed Amin Fatimie attended a reception hosted by Hon. Representative Seiko Noda at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Also in attendance representing the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo were Ms. Parwana Paikan, Third Secretary; and Mr. Jason Pratt, Public Affairs Officer.
Ambassador Fatimie had the opportunity to sincerely wish Hon. Representative Noda congratulations for having successfully organized such a great reception, in which she was able to connect with supporters and key contacts. Ambassador Fatimie further expressed deepest gratitude for all of the assistance that Japan and its noble parliamentarians have done to better the lives of the Afghan people, especially calling attention to Hon. Representative Noda’s work personally to raise awareness within Her district in Gifu.

22/02/2013 Ambassador Fatimie welcomes back participants of the SATREPS program

Ambassador Dr. Sayed M. Amin Fatimie and the diplomats and staff welcomed back to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo representatives of Yokohama City University (YCU), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and members of their shared Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) SATREPS program. The SATREPS program is organized by the two aforementioned entities and other partnering organizations, such as Tottori University and JST, to research and apply findings on wheat hybridization and cultivation using native and non-native varieties. Within this context, the program provides training and information sharing opportunities to Afghan and regional experts, thus enhancing capacity and contributing to mutual understanding, cooperation, and peace.
Ambassador Fatimie welcomed the guests warmly, expressing, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, great appreciation for the noble work that they are together doing towards increased productivity, sustainability, and peace. The Ambassador encouraged the attendees to return to Afghanistan and their respective nations to apply what they have learned in Japan. Sharing about the project, Dr. Tomohiro Ban of YCU spoke of the work being done and the potential for great success. Two of the Afghan participants gave presentations and two reports by NHK on the event were watched.

Mr. Sayed Ali Asghar Amiri and Ms. Parwana Paikan, Third Secretaries, also attended the meeting.
Ambassador Fatimie took this opportunity to re-express deepest gratitude for Japan’s, and their noble facilitator JICA’s, generous and effect-oriented multi-faceted contributions to Afghanistan’s peace and development.
