08/01/2016 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Welcomes Mr. Durkin and Mr. Cala of Tokyo American Club at the Embassy

Jan. 08, 2016: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie warmly welcomed Mr. John Durkin, the Representative Governor, and Mr. Anthony L. Cala, General Manager, of Tokyo American Club. The two guests visited the embassy as its neighbor to express their new year’s greetings. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie extended his wishes for the prosperous new year for Mr. Durkin and Mr. Cala as well as for Tokyo American Club. Mr. Durkin appreciated and in return, he, too, expressed his hope to cooperate with the embassy to maintain the successful new year in the good neighborhood. He also noted that he was very happy to revisit the embassy after the last time, when he attended the reception on the occasion of welcoming Afghan First Lady in last August, for the embassy’s continuous hospitality. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere with the attendance with all the diplomats of the embassy.

July 3, 2015:

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the honor to attend the celebration of the independence of the United States of America held at the Tokyo American Club. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie highly congratulated H.E. U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Bouvier Kennedy and President of the Tokyo American Club Mr. John Durkin.

The presence of Their Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Hitachi particularly reinforced the exceptional nature of the reception as the United States of America and Japan are both crucial actors of Afghanistan’s recovery.

Also, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the pleasure to discuss with Mr. Hiroyuki Yushita, Special Advisor to H.I.H Prince Hitachi, Mr. Alexander R. Jampel, Partner and Attorney at Foreign Law for Baker&McKenzie, and Mr. Dan Smith, Executive Producer for Fox International Channels.
