Attendance at the Reception of the Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the Second at Embassy of Denmark.

April 16, 2018: It was an honor and pleasure for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the reception commemorating the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the Second at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark.

On behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat extended his congratulations to H.E. Ambassador Mr. Freddy Svane, in honor of Her Majesty Queen Margethe on this most auspicious celebratory occasion. In return, H.E. Mr. Freddy Svane thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance and kind words, and expressed his wishes for the relations of their countries to strengthen. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the pleasure of meeting with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, such as Ambassador of the United Kingdom and Great Britain and Norther Ireland, H.E. Mr. Paul Madden; Ambassador of the European Union, H.E. Mr. Viorel Isticioaia-Budura; and other distinguished guests with whom he further discussed topics of mutual interest.

October 23, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure of making a courtesy call on His Excellency Mr. Paul Madden, Ambassador of the Embassy of Britain in Tokyo. Also in attendance were Mr. Ian Seckington, Political Counsellor for the Embassy of Britain in Tokyo, and Mr. Basir Ahmad Hamdard, First Secretary for the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

H.E. Ambassador Mr. Madden expressed his sincere appreciation to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat for his visit, and warmly congratulated him on assuming the post as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan. Additionally he wished H.E. Dr. Mohabbat the greatest of success in his endeavors throughout his mission remarking that he was certain to do so due to H.E. Dr. Mohabbat’s long time and experience in Japan.

In return, H.E. Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Madden for his kind words as well as for making time to meet. He also expressed his gratitude to the people and Government of Britain for their support of Afghanistan in its rebuilding process particularly in the many projects it’s undertaken as well as the assistance among other international allies in training Afghanistan’s Self Defense forces. Additionally, he asked for increasing British assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan in the field of capacity building programs, technical support, and with financial projects in order to further establish economic stability and educational progress. H.E. Mr. Madden said he would work to ensure that these wishes become a reality.

H.E. Dr. Mohabbat updated H.E. Mr. Madden on the many progressive achievements in Afghanistan over the past 15 years especially those undertaken since the formation of the National Unity Government. The two ambassadors agreed to build stronger and more profound relations between their respective countries and embassies, and further discussed topics of mutual interest such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
