Attendance at the Reception of the Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the Second at Embassy of Denmark.

April 16, 2018: It was an honor and pleasure for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat to attend the reception commemorating the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the Second at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark.

On behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat extended his congratulations to H.E. Ambassador Mr. Freddy Svane, in honor of Her Majesty Queen Margethe on this most auspicious celebratory occasion. In return, H.E. Mr. Freddy Svane thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his attendance and kind words, and expressed his wishes for the relations of their countries to strengthen. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat also had the pleasure of meeting with several of Their Excellencies the Ambassadors, such as Ambassador of the United Kingdom and Great Britain and Norther Ireland, H.E. Mr. Paul Madden; Ambassador of the European Union, H.E. Mr. Viorel Isticioaia-Budura; and other distinguished guests with whom he further discussed topics of mutual interest.

September 11, 2017: His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Bashir Mohabbat had the honor and pleasure of making a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, at the Danish Embassy in Tokyo. Mr. Basir Hamdard, First Secretary was also present at the meeting.

H.E. Ambassador Mr. Svane expressed his warm welcome to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat, and sincerely congratulated him on assuming the post as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Japan. Additionally he wished H.E. Dr. Mohabbat the greatest of success in his endeavors throughout his mission remarking that he was certain to do so due to H.E. Dr. Mohabbat’s long time and experience in Japan. In return H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Svane for making time in his schedule for the meeting as well as thanked him, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, for the long support and assistance of the people and Government of the Kingdom of Denmark. Denmark has stood with Afghanistan during the rebuilding process, helping to bring Afghanistan to its current progress & achievements, and their help and sacrifices, like others from the international community hold a place of appreciation and honor in the heart of Afghans.

Additionally H.E. Dr. Mohabbat updated H.E. Mr. Svane on the many progressive achievements in Afghanistan over the past 15 years especially those undertaken since the formation of the National Unity Government. H.E. Dr. Mohabbat expressed his optimism for the relationship between Denmark and Afghanistan becoming stronger, and also expressed the resolve that Afghanistan has had and will always continue to have the door open for discussion towards securing peace with those in opposition to it. The two ambassadors further discussed topics of mutual interest such as the recent speeches by leaders of allied nations planning for active steps to achieving further peace and security in Afghanistan.
