Meeting with H.E. Mr. Jose C. Laurel V, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, at the Embassy of Philippines, with Mr. Ghafoori.

January 11, 2018: His Excellency Ambassador, Dr. Bashir Mohabbat, of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Tokyo, had the pleasure of meeting H.E. Mr. Jose C. Laurel V, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines in Tokyo, with Mr. Ghafoori, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, at the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Tokyo.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat thanked H.E. Mr. Laurel for taking the time to meet with him. Furthermore, he thanked H.E. Mr. Laurel, on behalf of the people and Government of Afghanistan, for their kind support of Afghanistan during its years of redevelopment. In return, H.E. Mr. Laurel thanked H.E. Dr. Mohabbat for his kind words and expressed his sincerest wishes for the relations between their two respective countries to deepen and become more profound. 

Additionally H.E. Dr. Mohabbat updated H.E. Mr. Laurel on the many progressive achievements in Afghanistan over the past 15 years especially those undertaken since the formation of the National Unity Government. The two Ambassadors agreed to build stronger and more profound relations between their respective countries and embassies, and further discussed topics of mutual interest.
