25/11/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Visits Nihon University as a Guest Speaker

November 25, 2015:
It was such a great honor and pleasure for His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Sayed Mohammad Amin Fatimie to have had an opportunity to speak at Nihon University’s Mishima Station North Exit Campus as a guest lecturer. For the class of Nihon University’s College of International Relations, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie was invited, and delivered a lecture titled “Japan, from the perspective of Afghanistan.”

H.E. Dr. Fatimie’s lecture took place in the biggest hall of the recently built new school building, with the room full of IR major students interested in Afghanistan. H.E. Ambassador spoke that Afghanistan and Japan have historically shared some cultural aspects through the interaction via Silk Road. He also added that despite the distance, two countries have much in common, rather than difference. Because of the historical friendly relationship, Afghanistan likes Japan, Japanese products, and respect Japanese culture very much.
The lecture was received very positively by the entire class, including Dean of College Professor Buichiro Watanabe, Professor Katsuyuki Ishida, Professor Chizu Fukui, and Assistant Professor Hideyuki Kumaki. It was a great pleasure for H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie for their kind hospitality for His visit to Mishima, Shizuoka prefecture, and the successful lecture coordination.
