28/07/2015 H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie Attends a Reception by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan

July 28, 2015:
H. E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the honor of attending the reception for the “Annual Meeting of Japanese Ambassadors in the Middle East and Africa” hosted by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. There, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie had the opportunity to express his gratitude to H.E. Minister Fumio Kishida for his support of Afghanistan.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also had the pleasure of meeting with H.E. Mr. Yasuma Nagamine, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tsukasa Uemura, who serves as the Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan and as the Director-General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at MOFA, The Honorable Shinako Tsuchiya, Chairwoman of Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Hon. Mr. Kaoru Shimazaki, the newly appointed Chief of Protocol at MOFA. The diplomats used the occasion to discuss issues of mutual interest.

Furthermore, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie met with a number of distinguished individuals, including The Honorable Mr. Naokazu Takemoto, Chairman of the Special Committee on North Korea Abductions and Other Issues; The Honorable Mr. Koichi Takemasa of the DPJ; H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Takahashi, Japanese Ambassador to Afghanistan; H.E. Mr. Shigeo Matsutomi, Former Director General of Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau of the Japanese MoFA; H.E. Mr. Shigeyuki Hiroki, the Japanese Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa; H.E. Mr. Shigeru Endo, the Special Assistant to the Minister and the Ambassador for the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Gulf Region; and Mr. Hajime Kuwata, the Managing Executive Director of IHI Corporation.
