According to the National Unity Government's Triangle of Stability, the base of stability is human capacity and the importance of Afghanistan's youth receiving a solid education cannot be underestimated for the country to achieve self-reliant development and, it was with this in mind that, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Fatimie traveled to Waseda University to meet with diligent Afghan students.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie also met with Waseda's Vice President for International Affairs Professor Morita who thanked him for coming and communicated that Waseda would accept more Afghan students in the future. H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie expressed, on behalf of the people and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, his gratitude to Professor Morita and to Waseda for equipping young Afghans with knowledge in order for them to return and contribute to their communities.
Spending two hours with his Afghan brothers and sister, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie warmly encouraged and listened to the hard working students discuss their lives, studies and challenges living in Japan and promised that the Embassy would continue to do everything it can to assist them with their problems. All students appreciated H.E. Ambassador Dr. Fatimie's time and support in what was a special time for everyone involved.
