Attendance at the Reception of the 68th Anniversary of the Establishment of the People’s Republic of China and the 45th Anniversary since the Normalisation of China-Japan Relations

September 28, 2017: His Excellency Dr. Basir Mohabbat, Ambassador at the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Japan, had the pleasure of attending the reception on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China and the 45th anniversary since the normalisation of China-Japan relations, at the Hotel New Otani.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Mohabbat on behalf of the people and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, congratulated His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Cheng Yonghua for the occasion, expressed the appreciation for China’s cooperation for redevelopment of Afghanistan and his wishes for the well being of the people, the Government of China, and the neighbouring relationship of the two countries, Afghanistan and China. In response H.E. Ambassador Mr. Cheng expressed his appreciation for H.E. Dr. Mohabbat’s attendance and appreciation, and that H.E. Mr. Cheng, too, wishes to maintain the good neighbouring tie.

It was also a great pleasure for H.E. Dr. Mohabbat to talk with long-time friend, His Excellency Mr. Itsunori Onodera, Minister of Defence Japan, and His Excellency Mr. Yoshimasa Hayashi, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and other attendees that were several of Their Excellencies, Heads of Missions, and Diplomats with missions in Japan, members of parliament, and other dignified guests, several of whom H.E. Dr. Mohabbat met with and discussed many topics of mutual interest.
